I can relate to your experience with Jimmy Chunga. A couple of months ago I made a comment on his facebook page disagreeing with him about Ron Paul and why he is not "electable" and he proceeded to call me a "dumbass" on the air, mentioning my first and last name. I got really made at him and told him how offended I was, even talked with the station manager on the phone, but he refused to apologized and felt completely justified in offending me in public to a mass audience. I started listening to Chunga from the very beginning (1996) and was very sad when he got fired a couple of years ago. I even sent emails to Citadel Broadcasting urging them to bring him back. After all that this is how he thanks me? Not that he knew all that but it's not the point. Jimmy Chunga is a foul-mouthed, judgmental, unkind egomaniac who should be thrown off the air and never be allowed to come back. I will never listen to him again. Maybe we can start a "I hate Chunga" campaign to get him ousted...

I'll definitely sign it. And for sure hope your daughter is having a wonderful year in Kindergarten. I was just telling my students today that kindergarten is a German word and means "childrens garden"...they thought that was a neat idea. Hopefully I'll have an album for you by March my friend. We're working hard to finish up the last touches. Happy family and new year to you! cj

I really can't complain too much about the sound. A lot of it might have to do with the acoustics of the room itself, but honestly, I could hear everything--drums, guitar, bass, vocals ... it sounded pretty great. Not to mention that this particular show was $10, and it's one of the more expensive shows coming through there. However, I absolutely will acquiece to your point about the heat. Wow. Every now and then, the AC kicked in and blew a bit of relief across the sweltering crowd, but other than that, it was stifling. Probably due to the proximity of the stage light, I would bet. Either that or the shows themselves are just that hot, and yah--this show was!

I'm glad you had a good time! I still say it's a horrible venue - I like to hear a band when I see them. So unless they've improved the sound system there since I moved away, I think tickets are overpriced. Sure, you get intimacy, but there are tons of clubs here in Denver that are equally small with great intimacy and a good sound system. So yeah, still not a fan :)
